Junior Simões works in the intersection of design, technology, entertainment and user experience. Helping brands to develop creative solutions to solve users problems. Working to identify opportunities, strategies, interfaces and better experiences for people every day.


With a career of 20+ years, he’s a Brazilian who grew up in a diverse cultural environment, which gave him the ability to keep his eyes open for new models of interaction, culture and technologies that shapes the way people interact with objects and ideas. He believes that education, communication and design are the best tools that make us better people.

Simões was the Co-founder and Creative Director of the Tangerina Design, which for 10 years was recognized for its disruptive work in visual design, digital and creative events. In 2017, he was nominated as one of the ’10 Best Art Directors of Rio de Janeiro’ by ‘Prêmio Colunistas’ and responsible to create and coordinate brand actions for Grupo Globo and for developing concepts and strategies in creative projects for user and consumers through visual, digital, marketing campaigns and brand activations in live experiences. At live marketing agencies such as Geometry and Dream Factory, Simões acted as Art Director in sportive events such as the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the ATP 500 Rio Open. And during his experience at Huge Inc, Grito.cc and NoVerde App he expanded his knowledge in UX/UI/CX design, working in huge projects for banks, telecoms, insurance companies and fintechs.

Since he moved to Europe, Simões also started to be involved with cycling, developing new skills and covering the road cycling professional circuit as a storyteller and audiovisual content producer for his personal project BikeBlz.
